It looks like there's no way to rescue all the missing comments on my imported entries from LJ. But DW have provided a tool to delete all imported content and basically start the import all over again. I'm in the middle of doing that. Hopefully my next import attempt will take, and all the comments will come across, too.

One of my bffs, the fabulous
Eveeleva, has nominated me for something called a Liebster Blog Award activity (Iva, if you're reading this, sorry it took so long). This activity involves posting 11 random facts about yourself, and then answering 11 questions from the person who nominated you.
Fact #1
I'm really enjoying life with short hair as it's easier to style and I think it suits me better. But I do miss the femininity of my long hair.

Fact #2
I wanted to be an actress when I was 14. I planned to move to LA. I kept a diary about my ambitions. I even asked my mother how she would feel about me doing sex scenes *face palm*

Fact #3
If I could, I would write for a living. I cannot express how much I love it. It makes me see the world as one giant, living, pulsing, breathing PLOT BUNNY, complete with an evolving soundtrack.

Fact #4
I hate wearing skirts, but I love wearing dresses.

Fact #5
I have a lot of professional and personal balls in the air right now (lol @ 'personal balls'). If I stop, they will drop. So I will keep juggling. It will be like this for the next three years, more or less. I do this for myself and for my daughter. I want to give her all the things I had growing up.

Fact #6
I'm completely loving my 30s. My 20s was full of angst, self-obsession and self-doubt. I'm finding my 30s very liberating as I am growing more confident and happy in my own skin. I look forward to my 40s.

Fact #7
I wish I had more close female friends in Sydney.

Fact #8
My brilliant kid sister just got the job of her (and possibly my) dreams. She works for an organisation that will provide the expertise--which will eventually include analysts like my sister--that will broker international peace treaties and nuclear disarmament policy. Heads of State are members of this organisation. I don't know what else to say about this apart from holy shit, what an awesome Fact#8 and I am so proud of her.

Fact #9
I came to terms with my mortality this year, after a health scare. The fear is still prevalent, but under control now.

Fact #10
I <3 Alec Mercer!

Fact #11
I don't like my skinny, skeletal hands. I'm grateful that they work and everything, but I hide them when I can because I think they're ugly.

And Iva, my dear, here are my responses to your 11 questions!

1- What's the wildest, most unexpected thing that has ever happened to you?
My divorce.

2- What's the last thing you do at night before you go to bed?
Check my email.

3- If you could be reborn as someone else, who would it be and why?
There isn't anyone else that I want to 'be', but if I could choose to be re-born, I'd wish to be born as someone with money and access to a good education, because we are only as useful and as powerful as our options. And I'd have more options if I had money and a good education.

4- What's the first thing you ever learnt to cook?
Boiled egg.

5- If you could travel anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would it be and why?
Paris. Self-explanatory! Or Iceland.

6- What's the one thing you look or looked for in a partner/spouse?
Previously, I looked for an intensity of connection. Now, I look for intelligence, compassion, communication skills and a sense of fairness.

7- If you could donate 1 million dollars to a good cause, what cause would it be?
Some sort of child vaccination program, probably.

8- iPad/iPhone or Galaxy Note? Why?
iphone and ipad. Because they're AWESOME. Seriously, I was using an Android LG phone prior to my iphone 4, and while it was good, it has nothing on my iphone in terms of ease of use.

9- If i challenged you to a swimming race, what swimming stroke would assure you a win?
I'd do half a lap of breast stroke and then drown.

10- What's the scariest thing you think you will never be able to bring yourself to do?
I've done it (see response to Q1). Most awful, horrible, scariest, agonising thing I have ever done, to date. I cannot think of anything worse right now apart from losing a loved one, being broke and unable to support my kid, or being really, really sick.

11- What's your favourite number and why?
1. Because of the infinite array of numbers that comes after. How astounding and miraculous and exciting!

In turn, I have 11 questions of my own and nominate anyone reading this.

1. What do you think is mankind's single biggest problem right now?

2. Do you believe in life after death? If so, why? Do your beliefs require evidence?

3. If you do not already have children, do you want to have children? Why?

4. Do you believe in extra-terrestrial life? Why?

5. Describe your dream date.

6. What are your top 3 favourite songs right now?

7. What advice would you give your best friend when it comes to matters of the heart?

8. If you could meet anyone in the world for dinner and a conversation right now, who would it be and why?

9. What would you do for a living if you could do anything you wanted?

10. What is your favourite movie?

11. What are you wearing right now? <<-- obligatory creeper question, LOL.
